Camilla & Tim’s English Garden Party-style Winchester Wedding

Aug 12, 2012

Camilla & Tim were married yesterday in one of my favourite local villages, the beautiful Crawley near Winchester.  After getting ready at Camilla’s family home (which by the way I could spend all day photographing – the house is filled with interesting objects), we trotted (literally in some cases) up the road to St Mary’s Church for the ceremony.  Camilla looked stunning in a modern dress, with a family heirloom veil which I was quite in love with, and looked amazing as she walked up the aisle of the beautiful church to the very capable charge of the lovely Rev. Juliet Montague.

After a simple and warm ceremony in the church (and special mention must go to the flowers which looked & smelled amazing), we returned to the house for a garden party reception.  The folks at Intense Marquees & Events had provided a stunning cathedral of a marquee, studded with twinkling lights, and it was filled again with the most beautiful flower arrangements by the very talented Flowers by Clare in Chilbolton. There was a jazz band, croquet on the lawn, and mini scones & cucumber sandwiches.

As evening fell, we were treated to an absolutely gorgeous meal by Oliver & his team from The Essential Party Ingredient – highly recommended, they were efficient, polite & very capable.  I along, with the occasional naughty guest, kept sneaking into the lounge to see the Olympic action – seeing Mo Farrah perform so well was the icing on the cake of a fantastic day.  Later excellent wedding band The Somebodys kept the dancefloor filled until long after I had said my goodbyes.

Thank you Tim & Camilla for having me along on your fantastic wedding day, and extra thanks to the ushers who were so helpful organising the group shots, to bridesmaids Jane, Kirsty & Tors, and of course to Robin & Amanda for their unwavering hospitality and kindness throughout the day.  I hope you enjoy the sneak peeks!  My apologies for taking so many of Max – he was just too hard to resist…:)

Great pictures – looking forward to seeing the rest. The flowers were by Flowers by Clare (Clare Hills) from Chilbolton. The vicar was Juliet, not Judith and in one place Tom should read Tim!! Max enjoyed being in so many pictures and is missing everyone now.

Oh dear, thanks Amanda – that will serve me right for writing blog posts when tired! Give max a hug from me 🙂
