Hugo & Sarah’s Lainston House wedding
I love my job. Even in the middle of a busy summer season, carrying heavy cameras on hot days, with throbbing feet, I love being part of these amazing celebrations of love, of family, of years of experiences, and of what is to come. Hugo & Sarah were married today, and this is the story of the their day.
I started the day at Lainston House in Winchester, to watch Hugo & his groomsmen run around putting on ties & struggling with buttonholes, before heading off to Sarah’s frankly adorable family at their home in Hamble (I am available for adoption, by the way), and on to their local church for the wedding along with awesome second shooter for the day Amy Wass. Once happily wed in front of an exuberant congregation rocking out to hymns & Disney classics alike, they sped off in a gorgeous Austin Healey to lovely Lainston House Hotel.
Thanks must go to Jayne, Steve, Jim, Sparkles, Abby & everyone who made me welcome today & helped herd family members for group shots. The beautiful flowers were by Arcade Flowers, Steel band by Ebony, Malcolm was our brilliant master of ceremonies, and the band were the fantastic Cornerstone – these guys seriously knew how to get a party started. Thank you Hugo & Sarah for trusting me to make your memories into images – have a fantastic honeymoon.
But hey, words are not my strong point, to let’s take a look…
