Laura & Tom’s wedding at OrchardLeigh House
So, I just got back from Laura & Tom’s wedding at Orchardleigh House today, and I have to say they kind of nailed the whole getting married thing. It was my first wedding at Orchardleigh and I loved it – it’s such beautiful house & grounds, and the staff were super-efficient & super-friendly.
We started the morning with Laura in the Bonita Suite with her kick-ass maids Tara, Amy & Sarah, and her lovely mum. Also present were brilliant videographers Andy & Laura from Eightwood Studios, who are some of the least obtrusive videographers to have around, and Andy has the distinction of being my cousin, too, the lucky sausage. Laura chose a beautiful Justin Alexander gown with a dramatic train which suited her down to the ground.
Laura & Tom were married at the beautiful little chapel on the estate in a service presided over by a wonderful reverend with a fine baritone & a knack for storytelling. With no electricity, the service was conducted by candlelight and the organ pumped by hand; it’s no surprise it is one of the country’s most popular churches to be married at.
Then back to the main house for drinks in the sun, an incredible meal (THANK YOU Orchardleigh team – the food was amazing), and dancing. The day went so quickly, and was so much fun. Thank you so much for having me there you utterly lovely people! Here is your sneak peek, speak soon xxx
