Lindsay & Josh’s Hill Place Wedding

I have been looking forward to this wedding for what seems like forever – more accurately about 18 months.  Because (a) Josh & Lindsay are brilliant & I love the bones of ’em, (b) It s a Hill Place wedding!  One of my very favourite places to be, and the friendliest venue I have ever worked at, (c) Smallpiece Catering; they are DA BOMB (do people still say that? I suspect not.  Who cares.  They still are), (d) Jennibloom Flowers – one of my very favourite florists to work with – her arrangements make my mouth water. The wedding didn’t disappoint; from Lindsay’s beautiful retro look (complete with Cadillac to drive her to Hill Place) to the thoughtful touches, hand drawn signs, beautiful arrangements, and fantastic classic travel posters as centrepieces.  Plus these folks know how to party – Josh & friends became ‘JB & the Groomsmen’ in a cinderella-esque manner after the first dance to entertain a tent full of happy sweaty people, oblivious to the torrential rain outside.  THANK YOU, Team Brinkers.  You are the best xxx

Hill Place is a Georgian country villa set in 20 acres of parkland, in Swanmore, Hampshire.  It is a special venue for weddings, with a  real country house party feel – friendly and informal, despite the grand building.  I love photographing weddings there – if you are a Hill Place couple & have yet to find a photographer – get in touch!
