Jen & Steven’s Houghton Lodge wedding
Jen & Steven, a Houghton Lodge wedding. Flowers, sun, family & friends, and all the colours of summer…
When I met with Jen & Steven last Autumn to talk about their Houghton wedding, it was raining, and kind of hard to imagine what the first days of summer would feel like, and how the always beautiful Houghton Lodge & Gardens would look. Well, below is how they looked – a riot of colour, perfectly complimented by the amazingly talented JenniBloom Flower’s wild bouquests and table centres, and the most beautiful hanging flower hoop in the marquee. Houghton is one of my very favourite places to shoot, and to be actually – to explore the gardens, watch swans float lazily by, and discover new beautiful vistas at every turn. If you haven’t been I very much recommend it (also FYI, the Honesty Cafe there is amazing. Scones. Say no more.).
Jen got ready at the Highfield Country Guest House on Stockbridge before making her way to All Saints Church in Houghton to be married by the lovely Rev. Corne. Then we trooped to Houghton for canapés, gin, and the most beautifully sunny skies.
I can’t count how many conversations I had that day with people saying how wonderful it was, and how beautiful the setting – thank you as always to Sophie & everyone at Houghton for making us all welcome. Scroll to the end of the post for some information about some of the suppliers who worked hard to help Jen & Steven celebrate (a few are missing, and I will update…!).
J & S. Thank you so much for trusting me to record your incredible day, you are both total smashers! Here is your story:

I wonder if you can help! I’m getting married at Houghton Lodge next year and I’d love to know who supplied the marquee for this beautiful wedding?
It’s exactly what We’re looking for.
Thank you so much.
Hi Jenny. I am afraid I don’t remember who it was – possibly Greenhill Events. Sophie at Houghton will probably have it in her records, so she might be a better bet. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Merry Christmas!
