Megan & Ross’ Winchester wedding at Hotel Du Vin
I make no secret about how much I love my city. How much I love being a wedding photographer in Winchester, and how much I love my couples. So when I get to shoot a Winchester city wedding with badasses like these two, then I do a wee snoopy dance of joy. Okay, so the rain could have put a dampener (ho ho) on things, but being as these aforementioned badasses travailed the sea to get married in England, they chose to see it as part & parcel of the country they loved. Good call. Plus, it stopped for portraits, briefly, and then the skies opened on us, but hey give me a window & an overcast day & I am happy.
SO. Megan & Ross met in Winchester, when they were teaching at the College. And whilst they have since moved back to Philadelphia & started the awesome Function Coffee Labs (Winchester branch, please), they came back to the city they love & met in (along with a posse of family & friends) to say I Do. They did this in wonderful fashion, in a ceremony performed by a friend (who frankly needs to do this professionally, barkingly brilliant) at the Hotel du Vin in Southgate Street. Megan looked incredible – I mean, stop reading & go look – and Ross was killing it with that bowtie action. The always awesome Jennibloom provided the stunning flowers, including a flower arch that became the centrepiece to the room. The staff provided us with the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever tasted (and I have done extensive research here), so they may find me knocking on their door again in about an hour or so – thank you so much for keeping me fed & watered. And it was fab to work with Irene Piera films!
Megan & Ross, you are brilliant, and it was a privilege to spend the day with your charming selves. Top level canoodling, and you are just two of the loveliest people. I hope you like your sneak peek! xoxo
