Alex & Bradley’s Hill Place Hampshire wedding
I just love going back to Hill Place. It feels as close to home as a wedding venue can (possibly because deep down I can only truly be at home amongst Georgian grandeur, ahem). This is down to the friendly vibe & welcoming aspect, sure, but in no small part to the team from Smallpiece weaving their magic & just making it feel like visiting a friend’s house, and oh look, there is a wedding…
Today’s incredibly special couple was Alex & Bradley. They live just up the road in Droxford, as do Alex’s utterly brilliant parents – I started the day driving up to the house, the door was opened and “Is this the way to Amarillo’ spilled out at full blast, along with a hoot of joy from dad Clive, which kind of set the scene for the day. Warm & friendly were the catch words for today – throughout our experience – from welcoming parents, a personal church service, loving & happy friends basking in the incredible weather, and these fantastic people & the bond between them, celebrated in the most special of places.
Thank you so much for having me there, Alex & Brad – you rocked it! Thanks as well to Annie, Gem, and the Smallpiece team – you know I love the bones of you guys. Lovely to work with Ed & Josh from Edward Southwell films, and thanks as well to Simon Clarke for spinning tunes to tempt guests away from the sunny evening & onto the dance floor.
Happy Saturday! xoxox
