Philippa & Tristan’s wedding at The canteen & St Georges, Portsmouth

Jan 20, 2019

Philippa & Tristan are serving Naval folk, so I guess it makes sense that they made Portsmouth their home & the place to hold their wedding, but the adherence to convention kind of ended there. They did my very favourite thing, and held a wedding day in keeping with their lives, their attitudes, and their characters. So it was free of pomp & ceremony, and instead a day of low key celebration, in a church that looked like it was designed by Wes Anderson, followed by a couples session where they laughed their butts off (I think this is a common theme in their relationship, and ain’t that a wonderful thing), drinks and very entertaining speeches and an amazing dinner in the cave like interior of The Canteen (and HUGE thanks to the lovely staff there who kept me & my kick ass second shooter Lydia well fed & watered). It was, simply and wonderfully, a flippin’ lovely day. And I enjoyed it very much. I think they did too ;).

Thank you so much for having us on the team for the day, for welcoming us, and for being very much yourselves. Here is a preview of my story of your day….
