Alex & Danielle’s Romsey Abbey autumn wedding

Romsey Abbey Autumn Wedding

I bloody love Autumn. Well, you know, the right kind of Autumn. The autumn of crisp sunny days & the smell of wet leaves in the air, when roads become tunnels of warm tones and every bush & tree makes that last great abandonment of chlorophyll production for the benefit of everyone. It has been one of those weeks, and I have been riding my bike for hours a day round sunny Winchester with a giant smile on my noggin – marvelling at the riot of colour before the great darkness descends.
Danielle & Alex managed to plan their wedding in such a week. Danielle got ready at her lovely parents home, before moving to one of my favourite churches – the beautiful Romsey Abbey. The warm golden lighting in there, even in Winter, is the cosiest thing, and Danielle looked like an angel floatin’ down the aisle to Alex, in a killer Maggie Sottero gown, with the best of all accessories – a giant smile.
They said I do. We smiled, we clapped, a few tears were shed, and their daughter B stole the vicar’s microphone during her blessing (standard). Then we took a short walk around Romsey, hunting those glorious leaves, before I waved them goodbye and left them to the rest of their day (home in time for dinner & Strictly, short coverage weddings are ace).

I hope you had the best of evenings with your lovely family, Danielle & Alex, thank you so much for having me along to your lovely day xxx

I have shot loads of weddings at Romsey Abbey – here are a few of my favourites, if you are getting married there and are looking for your wedding photographer, please get it touch!

Or just get in touch anyway, cos I like a chat. Things I like to discuss: cheese, why cats are entertaining but pointless, the current season of Drag Race, hair care.
