Hampshire wedding photographer – bluebells & dancing & swishyness with Amy & Bob
Hampshire wedding photographer
Not going to lie, today was pretty flipping’ wonderful for this Hampshire wedding photographer. Amy & Bob said ‘I Do’, as is the way of weddings (unless things have gone terribly, terribly wrong), and this did it in front of a throng of brilliant people whose work, love, support & dance moves made it what it was. I met Amy years ago when she helped out doing spot of modelling for me, gamely hanging out in a rainy barn with a bunch of fancy hats on. Despite this, she wanted me to shoot her wedding, and I was so thrilled to be there. These two are the loveliest of humans.
We started in the village of East Stratton in Hampshire, where Amy’s parents live, and had a morning of getting prepped with her 5 brilliant bridesmaids (in KILLER Needle & Thread dresses), whilst mum Jean was at the marquee making miracles happen – and a massive round of applause to her & her team at Mackintosh Catering – amazing job today! The marquee at Vicarage Farm in Woodmancott looked stunning with florals by Jean & by florists Sage & Season, and festoon lights threaded throughout. But anyway, I am skipping ahead! Amy walked to the church in her BEAUTIFUL Charlie Brear separates with the most adorable tasseled skirt – ultimate swish, and with her Dad Chris (also important, fewer tassels). Before a gorgeous service held by family and friends (and including my first ‘Jerusalem’ of the year – which is may favourite wedding bingo hymn – I may sing it a little too loud). Then it was on a pony & trap to Vicarage Farm for beautiful food, warm sun, speeches, hugs, some really incredible cheese shortbread, and eventually some serious dancing (fab Ceilidh band ‘Licence to Ceilidh) . And in the middle of this, we managed to escape to a nearby wood to make the most of the bluebells. Angela is a very happy photographer.
Anyway, bed calls, so THANK YOU Amy & Bob for such an amazing day. You are rockstars, and we loved being there. Thank you to the Robin to my Batman, the always brilliant Holly, and to Jean & Chris for their hospitality, xoxoxo
