Nina & Charlie’s pretty damned perfect day…
I’ve only 5 or so weddings left in 2022, and as that final one gets closer I can’t help but reflect on how damned fortunate I am. I do a job that I love, yes, but it’s the people. Every wedding this year has been suffused by warmth, and I never take for granted when I am allowed on people’s teams for the day. Charlie & Nina encapsulated this whole year with their kindness, welcoming and grace. And I loved every second of their day – I make no apologies for the amount of images I will share of the beauty that is Nina looking every inch the Grace Kelly in her Le Spose di Gio gown – but what stays with me at every wedding is the emotion that runs like a thread through these days. From erudite speeches and beaming smiles, shared excitement, to that look on Nina’s mother Anna’s face as she gazed at her daughter with such fierce love and pride. Yes reader, I did a little cry.
They were married at St Mary’s Church in Easton, by the very lovely Rev Andrew, after some beautiful prep at Lainston House hotel (complete with inadvertent jazz band accompaniment), before heading to a marqueee in a finds field, beautifully decked out in a stylist English country summer vibe according to Nina’s vision, with amazing flowers supplied by Catherine Coombs, and gorgeous food by Peapod & Co.
Here is a small glimpse of their story
